About our sunroom contractor team in Highland

How I got into building sunrooms
I learned this trade from my dad, working beside him on patio rooms and enclosures long before I started Horizon Highland Sunrooms & Patios here in Highland in 2017. What kept me in it were the jobs that make you stop and think, like an old deck that has to carry a room, a low roofline, or a back wall that isn't quite square. Those still catch my interest more than anything else we do.
Most people who call us want more usable space off the back of the house, and they want someone to think it through with them. Highland has a real mix of homes, from older Craftsman bungalows to newer tract houses, and no two back yards call for the same room. I care most about the parts you can't see once it's done, like what the room sits on and how it joins the house, and I'd rather spend extra time on a tricky spot than cover it up and hope it works. We build in Highland and many of the cities and unincorporated areas around it, so if you've got a spot you've been wondering about, send us a note or call (909) 737-1119 and we'll reply within one business day.
What it's like to work with us
I come out and plan it with you
I'm the one who measures and looks over your house, and I'll ask a lot about how you plan to use the room before I suggest anything. A room for morning coffee and a room where the kids play all afternoon don't get built the same way.
We take on the awkward jobs
An old deck, an odd roofline or a patio that isn't level is the kind of job other builders often pass on. Working those out is the part of this trade I enjoy most, so bring us the tricky one.
Your estimate shows what's in and what's out
Estimates are free, on site and come with no obligation, and the written estimate lists what the room includes and what it leaves out, so you aren't guessing when you decide. We're licensed and fully insured.
How we go about a sunroom job
Questions first
We ask about your house and how you'll use the room before offering an answer, because the right room depends on both.
Check the base
We look hard at what the room will sit on, whether that's a slab, a deck or bare ground, since everything above it depends on it.
The tie-in
We work out how the room joins your house at the wall and roofline, because that joint is where most trouble usually starts.
Permit paperwork
We check with the city or county office for your address, then prepare and file the plans and permit paperwork when your job calls for it.
Our own crew
Our own crew does the building, and we bring in licensed trade partners when your room needs wiring or heating and cooling.
